on the way home last night a deer hopped out in front of me.

i remember the deer, the tree, the airbag... looks like the car hit the first tree at about 40mph... spun me into second tree... front end and pass side destroyed

i was gonna do gears this week :cry

Man that sucks just be glad your ok.... ive had a couple close calls with deers but thats about it. hope if all works out for you man

there are deer down in NC? thats where i am going to be moving.

Ive had a run in with a deer in my GT, plowed right into the side of my car

i was hoping to get out of New York and never have to deal with them again

OP, you should be glad you are OK. that sounded like it was a pretty serious accident, especially if you dont remember much of it.

i guess what i really was trying to say was, escape the over population of deer we have in NY to decrease the odds of this **** happening to me again.

but i guess that can be the same everywhere else.

Man Sooo many deer plus mustang combo threads (myself included). I'm beginning to wonder if they love the sound of a Mustang GT's V-8. Hope you feel better quick and get either your baby back or into an even better one. Try and keep your head up.

Like other said, glad you are ok. I know you are prolly thinking who gives a ****, my car is gone! When I lost a Mustang years ago it was a pretty serious accident and I came out unscratched. I wished for a broken arm or something so I wouldn't just keep thinking about losing the Stang

its not that i dont remember it was very very fast... there was a tree directly on the edge of the road, as soon as i saw the deer, i jerked the wheel(oops) and immediatley the airbag was going off..
i saw the deer and withing a second of seeing him, the airbag was off... it was fast... ill try to get some pics of the car soon

Dude...I live in southern California and hit a deer with my old 5.0 about 15 years ago...those giant forest rats are everywhere

there will be cruise ins starting in a couple of weeks with some pretty good action going down.

KBB retails my gt at 11,500... if i get anywhere near that from the insurance company ill be happy... hoping for 10k

im pretty sure at this point that im gonna do whatever it takes to get a hold of a mach... the better motor, appearance, brakes and specifically interior over the gt is easily worth the 3k-4k price difference

plus im finding it impossible to locate another silver gt 5spd in my area... so the fact tht the mach didnt come in silver is irrelivant

There is definetly an overpopulation of deer in NC especially where I live. I don't drive over 45 on back roads at night becuse you have to slam on brakes about every other mile. Seriously it sucks. Really sucks on a bike.

I'm pretty close to you man. I live about 50 miles north of Raleigh in Caswell Co. I'm up in Raliegh a lot. I have a bunch of friends that went to State and go and visit them some on the weekends.
