I had a huge tree get struck by lightning 2 years ago, had to down it this spring, have about 8 rick of wood sitting around.
Was helping a friend move for last couple months, he gave me a pretty nice wood stove (actually cast iron) and I`m thinking of using it as a heat source for my shop. I know the obvious problems, no paint or chemicals around open flame, but does anyone know any reason I couldn`t use this as a day to day heat source for my shop this winter? I can keep it at least 10 feet from the car, and almost 25 feet from the gas tank of the car.
I use an EdenPURE infrared portable heater in my office and it works great, I can get one for $400, and that`s about what its going to cost me to install the woodstove...time I buy the triple walled pipe and kit to run it thru the roof.
