Im think about purchasing this for my fox. Before i buy it, i want to be sure it fits. Also, im not familiar with wiring stuff, id there a diagram of the wiring for the stereo to install it myself. If not I’ll take it to someone that knows.

Crutchfield. They will wire it so that you can just plug it into your factory harness.

I'm not sure if that particular model fits, but I have a double din pioneer head unit similar to that one in mine. I would consider buying through crutchfield. They have amazing customer service and include installation guides and wiring adapters for free with head unit purchases. Attached is a pic of my car. It was a very tight fit, but very doable.

I will go ahead and throw in another +1 for crutchfield. You can even pay a nominal fee for them to connect up the harness from the head unit to the adapter so all you're connecting when you do the install is basically one plug to the car, one plug to the radio, and the antenna. They usually include a bezel if one is needed also. Crutchfield is really the only way to go when doing your own install. I just put this Sony in my corvette, it was on sale from them and they provided everything I needed. CarPlay is nice to have.

Sonicelectronix is another good place to look. They usually have everything needed to do installs too. I prefer Crutchfield though.

I bought a Sony XAV AX100. You may have fitment issues with a regular double din hitting the metal studs on the trans tunnel. The Sony XAV is a single din with a double din face. Fits perfect and you don't have to cut the studs of the trans tunnel. Got it from Crutchfield also. Comes with the mounting brackets and harness to connect to factory harness. Super easy to wire up.

Theres a few double-din units out there that do not feature a CD player. These units will be far easier to fit in a Mustang because of clearance to the trans tunnel/carpet/console mount bracket. You can get tradiaitonal ones to clear, but you may need to remove the trans studs/bracket and cut the carpet out inthat area to do so.

The aforementioned XAV family is one of them

Yea ^ that's how my Sony is. I really like this design, it allows all that space below to have your wiring harnesses tucked in all nice and tidy.
