Hey guys. I am trying to figure out where to attatch a tow rope to my 88 GT to tow it back to the house. I broke my 3550 and have a truck and a rope, so i am going to pull the car back like 2 miles to the house tonight. The thing is I dont know where i can hook up the rope without damaging the body. My car is lowered. Any ideas on places sturdy enough to tie off a rope, but will not bend or scratch up my front bumper while being pulled by a truck...

Thanks...

Corey

I'm not sure, I know a guy who got away with putting it on the front sway bar, but I don't think that's a good place.

i guess too it depends on how long of a rope i use the longer the rope, i think there would be less angle, maybe like 20 ft of rope would not hit the front bumper that hard... Geez, I can build a motor but cannot figure out how to tow a Darn car... lol

The ground effects cover all of the good tow points

It might be better (for the plastic and paint) to get a dollie to put the car on

or use a 4-wheeler if you can get ahold of one. They have a really low hitch.

Maybe pop the hood and hook it to the top of the radiator support and just drive real slow with the hood unlatched.

If you have a GT, you can put the rope through the holes between the fog lights, and tie into the K member. that is what I done, but my car wasn't lowered.

Off of lake underhill and alafaya, in waterford Lakes. Its honestly less than a mile, I would hate to waste that short of a distance, you might need it sometime. I do appreciate the gesture though.
