Towing capability/restrictions are covered in the owners manual.

Thus far I don't believe that anyone has released a hitch for the 2005 model.

i need to run to the hardware store and pick things up so towing a trailer about the size of a jetskie would be great

about 500 to 1,000 lbs is all Mustangs can handle... get a Ranger, Explorer, or F-150 instead!

I've never seen a Mustang with a tow hitch. I can't imagine one with it, and I strongly recommend against it. If you just gotta have it go to a professional installer. I'd hate to see you damage your car, or the car behind you.

Any Mustang can easily tow up to 1000 lbs - its no big deal. I have towed a 1300 lb. boat for years with a '88 LX 5.0 and now with a 2000 GT. Both were 5-speeds. I even got one speeding ticket while towing (70 in a 55). For the '94-'04 models, Reese made a hitch called a Shadow mount where you can't see the hitch when the draw bar is not in use. Small utility trailers, jet skis, small aluminum boats are a no-brainer. Not everyone can afford or wants to have a truck sitting around.

I live near the beach and there are quite a few Fox and SN95 cars running around here with hitches. The only thing I have ever seen them tow are Jet Skis.
