Tpms Sensors

On a 2012 Mustang GT is it a big deal turning off the TPMS feature , and how do you do so.

i dont think u can turn it off, but all it does is monitor tire pressure so if u get new rims and dont have the tpms sensors/configured u will have the tpms light. but otherwise you should be fine.

You can NOT on any vehicle. Its a federally mandated safety feature.

You cannot turn off the sensor,But you can grab some PVC pipe and mount one of the TPMS into it.Seal up the pipe at both ends,Fill it up to 35 psi and put it in the trunk. Works great. The system cant tell if you have one or four TPMS. All it needs to know is that one is working. No Lite.......

Is this true, that the TPMS light only notes the failure in the case that all 4 have failed? Why not just put the TPMS in the spare tire then and run that?

No it will light up if any one tire is too low OR too high.
