Cruising along at 80mph then the car starts struggling...look down and the traction control light is on...did it a few times on the way to town and a few times on the way back...what's this all about?

Ford has a recall on some of their Cruise Control cars and trucks, might want to look into it, something about it getting stuck.

Might point to an issue with the ABS system too...wheel speed sensors in particular.

my gt, before it was wrecked, did the same thing. i just turned traction control off everytime i started my car. that got old real quick, so i invested in the predator. best thing i did for that car. and u can fix other small things like the speedo, del rear O2 sensors, ect, ect, ect.......

The only time I that has happen to me, was when I "hit" a patch of ice. rain, oil, sand, something that actually does cause a temporary loss of traction at the rear wheels.
