Ok, so I posted my GT up on craigslist cause I really need to get a commuter car due to moving away from my job and keeping my job. So I just was offered what looks like a very clean looking Notchback.

Pics:

But this guy says it has these problems atm:
* the drive line in it has 143k miles and is out of balance so I went and bought a newer one that I would give with the car. .

* The speedo works up to 40MPH and stops and the fuel gauge does not work.

Easy or hard fixes? seams to want a straight trade. Says it has about the same mods as mine.

Heres mine:

I'd pass on that if what you really need is a commuter. that sounds like it is going to be in need of a lot of TLC

I don't know which two cars you guys are looking at but that notch looks pretty damn clean to me, and a step up from the GT. Of course, you'll need more pics and to check it out in person to make the proper decision. As far as trading a mustang for another mustang when what you're really looking for is an econobox commuter car, well, I think you may have answered your own question there. Either way let us know how it works out.

my thing is the "unbalanced driveline" how the hell do you do that? it sounds like it's going to need a complete teardown and rebuild along with a whole host of electrical gremlins that will need to be cleared up.
Sure it has a shiney new paint job, but I bet that is hiding even more disasters underneath it.

Here's what I think...

You can not post a link to your own Craigslist ad. Post pictures of the car instead.

I apologize, I have seen other people post craigslist ads, so I figured that is was fine as long as I wasn't trying to sell it on here. My apologies once again.

Ok, yea I was just browsing craigslist. It appears the guy has moved in the last 16 hours and done about $10k worth of work to it and such.
