Traded the L in last night... it was kind of a bittersweet moment for me. I loved the truck, but it wasnt practical for me anymore. I've got a 50 mile commute to work evey day and the thought of gas going back up in price weighed pretty heavy on my decision. This was also my every day driver, sun, rain, and worst of all SNOW. This winter in new england has been pretty bad and it was getting old driving it in the ****ty conditions, the truck deserves to be a weekend/summer vehicle. I hope the new owner loves it as much as i did. heres a few pics of it if anyones interested
On a positive note, my new DD is a 09' WRX, and so far i love it. Its pretty quick and handles like a dream. And Ive still got my mustang for when things get serious

I went to rice for 5 years, realized that I could plea insanity and went back to a Mustang as a DD.

Sick truck, but I'm sure the WRX will fit the DD category much better.
I'll let you ride in mine. lol
I've got a couple new tires coming, so I'll be burning my old ones off on the skid pad at work soon.
Very nice truck, I've always loved them and wanted one. Almost bought one but I'm also in MA and knew I would've had to get yet another vehicle for winter so I skipped it.

The new ones remind me of a Corolla S or a Mazda Protege.
What car should he have purchased? You seem to have a very strong opinion about anything that isnt your fox or Corvette???
Congrats on the purchase, I know a lot of subaru guys who love them for DDs! A LOT actually.

I would rock one for a DD. I would prefer a Legacy GT, but a WRX with all the options would be a nice car to drive on a regular basis.

Thats how you keep a truck, black's the hardest to keep, and it stayed nice! That Subaru is going to be great fun- rain, snow, ready to go- if I was dropping new car $ on a DD, that'd make my list!

If I had to choose an all around import daily driver, I think I'd go with the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. The styling and performance are very well balanced. The rear spoiler is a tad bit tall for my taste, but that's about my only complaint.

That was a very sharp Lightning. I'm sure you hated to part with it but that is so not what I would want to drive in the snow. The WRX is a cool little ride also and a more pratical DD.
