I have a 2000 mustang GT and i was curious about the transmission because i need to get a new clutch and the parts houses keep saying t45 but my tranny is stamped tremec. is the t45 a tremec tranny i thought it was a borg warner? are the clutches any different? i need to get this figured out so i can get it back on the road

Clutches are different I think. The Tremec has a more heavily ribbed case and it's physically bigger too I think. If it's stamped Tremec, it's a Tremec. I'm not positive on the clutch differences, but I'm pretty sure they are different. T45 is Borg Warner.
