My AOD recently took a crap 2 days ago. Im having the transmisison rebuilt right now, and adding a transgo HP shiftkit on it. My question is, before the tranny going out and all that, in town i would drive it only in the 'D' position because clearly my tranny never went into overdrive since i wasnt going that fast. Only when i was going say around 45+mph i would manually shift the tranny to 'OD'. Never had a problem till 2 days ago when my OD wouldnt even go in. Was it caused by me always driving on D and not on OD? And now with the tranny being rebuilt & with the shift kit, can i keep on driving around in D? Would appreciate the help.
