I`ll try adding some more fluid

at this point I dont think I have much to lose. It has a total of 8 quarts in it now counting whats in the convertor, isn`t that all it should hold or no?

no reverse

maybe your guy at the transmission shop left a check ball out. Do you have another valve body you can try? If it is indeed the transmission, take that valve body out since you have over $300 sunk into it.

Last time I checked.... A C4 holds like 8 quarts PLUS the converter ? Am I wrong on that ?

I only cross torque the bolts because I'm parinoid.

I once mixed up different spline torque converters. Gave a hell of a clunk and wouldn't move. Ended up messing up the front pump (and of course the donor converter.) Tough lesson learned.

It sounds like need to either get it exchanged or to a transmission shop so they can dissect it.

Yea its going to the tranny shop...

as soon as a wrap up some of the dangling wiring under the dash. I put an MSD 6AL and dist in it, and my wiring is old, so it couldnt get enough voltage to power itself off anything thats hot when you turn the key on. So I bought a 10 amp toggle switch which I need to finish mounting under the dash I have to use to power the thing with, yea its crude, but it does work. Its also a theft detterent, it wont start (or die) without flipping the switch.

Right now I have to put the battery cable on to start it, and pull it off to kill it.

I just watched my car get hauled off

on a wrecker. I did follow one of yalls advice and check the convertor bolts thru the inspection plate last night but everything was fine.
Now I get to sit here and wonder whats next I guess...

It was a stuck valve in there. The shop didnt even charge me to fix it either.

I kinda think they`ll pay it, I`ve spent about $6000 in there in the last few months.
