I saw it today. I grew up with Tranformers as a kid, but Im not a geek about it like some. Its a good movie. If they would have gone into developing the bots much more the movie would have been dull. It packed action where it needed it, and some tongue and cheek in the right places. Micheal Bay sucks, but he did a good job this time. Ill own this one on DVD as soon as it hits the shelves.

I read that frank welker's voice had aged too much so they cast hugo weaving instead.

Great flick. My first thought was, "Dammit, now we have to wait 2 years for a sequel"

...my second was, "Megan Fox is very aptly named".

People who grew up watching it = love the movie

People who didn't really know about transformers = love the movie

Die hard transformers nerds = hate it

Its the same way for anything like this, like spiderman, batman, superman, etc.

lol Well put.

I thought the movie was pretty good. There was a big group of us (including my mother, who never goes to the movies) and they all liked it alot. The action and special effects I liked. The casting, not so much. Shia LeBeouf was very good though. Very much a family movie and that is ok. It was just too light-hearted for me to really get into. Had it been darker it wouldn't be as big a draw I suppose. The new Camaro got the biggest reaction from the crowd. I think it's a sweet car but I was still surprised at the response. I am in Texas though, so...

I kiiid! I kiiid!

i know friend welker did the vioce for the game of megatron, sounds the same to me, but my question is would it really matter since they put the voice through so many different damn filters

Saw it yesterday, I thought it was what a Summer movie should be, adrenaline, action, and noisy. Some did not liken it to the original, but it still kept the above 3 mentioned ingredients. The mustang was awesome.
Another note, as far as sticking to the original media, I thought Venom in SM3 should have been better and tougher.
