I have a 2001 Mustang V6 I bought for my wife. The car is acting like the fuel is cutting off when accelerating at a quick go or geeting on the highway. But in park it does not do it. Does this sound like a tranny problem. I need help please.

If they had tc it almost sounds like that. If you were losing traction that is. When was the last time the plugs/Fuel filter were changed? What the mileage?

Just bought the car. It does not do it in park. The fuel filter I am changing tonight and the plugs no idea. TC is what i thought because it does not do it in park. The best i can say is if you ever road a bike and hit the rev limiter shifting up and it jerks and cuts out that is how it feels.

Sounds to me like a MISFIRE or a bad COP

sounds like something in the ignition, try changing the plugs n wires. sometimes it'll be missing slightly at idle but you wont even notice until its under load.

If it cuts out after a certain RPM, it's the fuel pump. If it cuts out under load, it's the COP.
