Transmission Question Please???

hey Im new to the board sorry if this is the wrong spot for the question, I have a 1990 Lx Mustang 5.0 and my over drive is out but drives fine in regular drive. My supervisor at work says he have a C4 transmission out of a 1979 Granada 302 engine, will it fit on my mustang?

It can be made to work, but you'll need some additional parts. It's a little more than a direct swap....but they fit

probably just a worn out od band, they get to where they will not grab anymore, 20 dollar part. if you are not afraid of opening your trans it's not bad.
