What kind of gains have been demonstrated on these aftermarket upper intake plenums? The TrickFlow website says that their plenum flows up to 100cfm more than the stock piece, so what kind of gains would this translate to on a N/A GT?

I spoke with Trick Flow at the SEMA show when I saw this piece there.
They are working on an intake, but since lots of companies are they were being very hush hush about it...we should expect to see about 3 different companies putting intakes out by about summer.

It can't be that hard for a company as big as Trick Flow to design an aluminum intake based on the speccrapular plasitc one that Ford was so thoughtful to give us.

According to Anderson Ford Motorsports test the Trickflo Plenum is worth about 6 RWHP and 7 RWTQ.

Hey guys, well I just ordered the new Trick Flow upper plenum from Summit Racing.

I was going to wait untill someone ELSE bought it and tried it out, but I figured
"Wtf, can hurt my slow 96 GT"

So I'll should be getting it Monday or Tuesday, I'll post a new thread letting guys know how it works out, and if I can ($$$$) I will dyno to see what improvements occured.

Thanks again, Edo.

yeah thanks alot.

Please do keep us posted

I think the Triock Flow looks better than the C&L, but it is hard to beat C&L parts for induction.

Just my opinion....

Unlike everything else out there, I think this one raises the intake plenum. Should that help it out produce the others?

should do something since there are upper plenum spacers for sale, but another brand plenum, and a plenum spacer may produce more power too-

well i mean since the composite lower on the GTs is so prone to breaking anyway, even a cast aluminum with the same specs as stock would be better, at least you could port it if you wanted to then

hmm...looks like this has become a popular bandwagon. I think the dragon plenum has the edge though.

So...a lower intake would be nice..
