does the trick flow r series or track heat series fit on the street heats loower or do the upper and lower have to be replaced and which would work better on a 10.5 to 1 compression all forged, afr 185 heads and cam with a .584 lift? its also a 347 stroker, 4.10's bbk long tubes xpipe no cats and mac catback....looking for improvments at the strip and i currently have the street version and feel that it might be holding back some power..most combos similar to mine are runnign r series and track heat so im wondring if it will do the same for me?

The track heat upper shares the same lower as the street heat. The R is a whole other ballgame. It should bolt up but the ports are bigger than the street/track lower. Use the R manifold for your 347, unless the cam is a tiny low rpm cam.

and what constitutes a tiny cam? when i get outta work ill check the cam card....i wont be revving the car past 6200 rpm anywayz i wanna keep this engine for a while and ill also be spraying a wet shot (75) was going to spray before the tb but since i am gonna take the intake off...thinking bout doiing a plate....head its better...so should i just stick with the track heat b/c my revs will be lower?

A holley might be a better way to go. But if not, at the very least a track heat upper swap is needed IMO.

When I said tiny cam I mean a cam not built to make good power and not built to rev a little higher.

I designed my whole induction package around my goals and rpm's.

hey jus wondering have u dynoed ur combo?...i dynoed mine and im not sure how to feel about it...331rwhp and 367rwtq....untuned and just barley broken in when dynoed1500 miles, 12 degrees timing....i am hoping to gaina little more with an intake swap...and im gonna be spraying a 75 shot of nx and i heard the numbers they advertise are to the wheel....so i hope for a healthy 410 rwhp, and 425 rwtq with the spray..that will make me happy for a while...and i also figured keepig it under 6200 rpm will allow me to spare the motor for a while not overrevving or over powering the block...what do u think?

Never dynoed the car. It should make 375-390rwhp I would say. It needs a set of 4.30 gears to run ideal at the track. I have 3.73's now and i'm crossing the traps WAY too low with them. I'm losing about 1000 rpm's of powerband. Car should trap around 120 mph with the gears and now that the tune is better. 120mph is enough for high 10's which was my goal, a high 10 second potential n/a pump gas street car.

You should make a lot more with a better manifold and more timing. How was your a/f on the dyno? What gears do you have?

you know what i dont remember i didnt get that print out with the a/f...i know the car needs some tuning...im running 4.10's in a tko 600 tranny, moser axles...it has run a best of [email protected] a 60 ft time of 2.1..on some nitto 55r's i know i can squeeze some 11's with et streets and some more dialing in on a/f...thinking bout running like 15degrees timing too..then hopefully a low low 11 slip with a 75 shot.....my problem is that all this power and good drivetrain is stuffed into an 89 convertible which weighs in at 3846 without me..thats full street weight nothing taken out.....and i used a convertible b/c im a big underdog on the street and it just soo happens i make lots of money with this underdog racing mildy modded notches and ls1's and lt1's.....with a few sti's and evos in the mix....my only problem is that i have to put at least a 4 point cage in it the guys at the track now recognize me so i cant play that " i didnt know how fast it was" game with them.anything under 13.99 i need a 4 point..anything under 11.99 i need a FULL 10 point and im not ready for either...i will lose my street sleeper look

I hear you on the street sleeper look. Once I get my car 100% and hooking good i'll start running again on the street for money. I'm not ready for that with this combo yet. You can see in my avatar my car looks near stock :)

Try and get the a/f print out. Dont be afraid to try 18* timing.

yea im def gonna step it up with the timing im only running 12 now just cause the motor was new and i didnt wana go crazy with it...guess its a mental thing..but i mean i was running 15* with my last combo...stock bottom and tfs top so i know i could run at least that with this motor..im also thinkin in the next 2 months to get a tuner...probly the sds
