I don't get it... What really changed? It looks like the 170 just got some more wall thickness around the water jacket...? Was the 185 and 205 paragraph supposed to be two separate sections?

185 and 205 Features

As-cast surface finish; cast with CNC-ported profiles • Standard port-to-valve seat blending (bowl blending) • Excellent for street and entry-level strip applications
Street Ported CNC Runners
100% fully CNC-ported runners and CNC-profiled combustion chambers
Perfect for moderate street/strip and power adder applications
100% fully CNC-machined runners and CNC-profiled combustion chambers
Higher resolution machine finish compared to Street Ported CNC runners
Recommended for maximum performance street/strip, race, and power adder applications

All the 170cc heads will now feature cnc'd chambers and a bowl blend. You will also have a choice in a 58 or 61cc chamber which has not been offered before.

Ah, OK, OK. Nice improvements there.

What are the new flow numbers on the 170s with the new bowl blend?

Were there any changes made to the 185s and 205s?

Also, I noticed that the 190 FAC was not mentioned. Will it get the same treatment as the 170?

When the flow numbers are released I will share them. It will be soon.

We are now offering a lower cost Street port on the 185 and the 205 fulley cnc'd heads. Flow number also to come later.

The 190 head already features what the new 170cc head is getting except for the 58cc chamber which will also be available.

So, are you just offering a more "rough" CNC port finish as an alternative to the current CNC finish? I guess I'm just curious how these compare to my 205s that I bought directly from TEA last spring.

It is a different finish then the current cnc'd heads but still very effective. Are they on the same scale as your TEA heads? No, TEA also puts a lot of hand work into there port work.

What kind of a cost savings are we talking about with the "Street Port"?

By the way, thanks for playing 20 questions with me.

+1 for TFS customer service here. I'll give them another +1 when I do my TFS H/C/I swap when I get home this winter. Got a pile of TFS stuff waiting in my garage

Have a nice day.

Hey Gregg, how about hooking a fellow Stangnet member like myself up with a killer discount on a set of your 240s? I'll display a massive TFS banner across my windshield AND back window while I'm out slaying EVOs...

I've always loved the TFS TW castings. I picked up a set of iron GT40 for next to nothing for my current enging build, because I was trying to go the budget route, but these new and improved aluminum castings have me thinking about digging just a little deeper into my wallet for a set.

Hmmm....decisions, decisions!?!

The 170s were already pretty stellar considering the fact that they're an entry level aluminum head. I'm really interested to see what the new flow numbers are.

Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
