I have had major issues with oil control in the 408w (see sig).
I eliminated the pcv as the source with a separator, so I took the heads in for new valve seals.

While there the shop owner started telling me that the TrickFlow Aluminum castings are so porous that engine oil can seap straight into the combustion chamber. I just nodded my head and got out of there, but I call :bs:

I know TrickFlow had issues with early valve guides/seals, but my heads have been rebuilt recently.

Anyone else heard of this?

I too have to call :bs: on that guy. If it is porous enough that oil can seep in I would imagine that you might have some other issues with compression loss and such. Just me thinking off the top of my head though.
