Here are my results from my emissions test w/o cats:

NOX
standard: 3.00
readings: 3.74
FAIL

CO
standard: 30.0
readings: 51.5
FAIL

Noise
FAIL

... and my personal favorite:

THC
standard: 1.20
readings: 25.84
FAIL

What do you guys think? Aren't some of you glad you don't have to deal with this crap?? I failed the hydrocarbon (THC) test so bad that it is literally off their graph. The graph only goes up to 7.20 and I scored a 25.84.

I am running an OR H pipe on mine with bullets dumped. I am thinking of removing the Bullets, and installing high flow cats in the H pipe. I love the sound of the Bullets anf they dure do not hurt power, but I have to pull the car out of the garage to work on the engine or my eyes water so much, I can't see what I am doing. I wonder what the sound differance would be with only high flow cats compared to Bullets?

My friends 90GT passes just fine with longtubes and NO cats. This is NY state emissions too. Try running your car again with it running hot and turn the timing down. I haven't smogged mine legally with my h/c/i, I have someone do an "under the table" inspection on it. Passes with flying colors

Yeah, they just did a news thing here in Cleveland Ohio on emission controls. They took a sample of the air quality before emission control went into effect, and a sample of the air quality last month, and whadda ya know, not a single change in the air quality. Oh, and by the way state just voted on it, and 8 more years of this is a given. Whadda joke!!! Hey ya go heres 20 bucks, heres 30 bucks, heck heres another 25, thanks for stealing my money Ohio!!!! Sorry had to vent

I feel for you in Ohio. Here in Toronto, Ontario Canada we have the same crappy emissions testing. It's proven to be nothing more than a cash grab and does nothing but put HARDSHIP on people who need cars to get to work at their low paying crappy jobs!!!!!!!!!

We've had ours now for the past 4 years and it's done nothing also to improve the environment. Critics have compared the difference it's done for our environement as the equivalent of taking a single bucket of water out of Lake Ontario!!!!!

The biggest polluter's in this country are the coal burning factories, but the government won't do anything about them as they employee citizens who in turn feed the government so why would they smog the factories if they in turn threaten to uproot themselves and go to Mexico!
