Hey so I am trying to get this thing running, it fired right up last week, but after the coolant in the oil issue within the 5 minute break in, I dumped the oil, reinstalled the intake and started fresh, this time with a new battery and high torque mini starter.

So first off checked the error codes, got 96 and 82.

Its a brand new 347 with trick flow heads, etc., etc., and has only run for the 5 minutes.

It is a 88 GT Vert., and because I did all these mods I did the mass air conversion with A9L, while I was at it.

So for code 82, I realized I moved the pins to the wrong spot so I am pretty sure I fixed that problem., but after moving the pins tonight, and quickly hooking it up for a test.

Seems like now I am only getting 96. Like with the key off, I hook everything up, then turn the key on and it goes straight to 96. Before changing the pins to fix 82, I was getting the quick flash, then 8 flashes for the cylinder count, then 2 flashes for comp ok, then got codes 82 and 96.

Now I just seem to get 96. Without the cylinder count and 2 flashes for comp ok. But just 96.. had the connector out so maybe I did something, and I had the battery off.. Maybe I should dump the codes first then try again tomorrow.

Anyways, regarding code 96... here is what I have done. I did the jumper to check the fuel pump circuit and I can hear the fuel pump turn on, which also makes it easier to check my fuel pressure gauge, rather than turning the ignition on and off, cause it is the fuel pressure tester kit. So that way makes it easier. Have it set to 45 psi. Have been told 45 psi., then 39, then was told to switch back to 45 psi. I wish we could get a unanimous decision on that one!

So continuously holding the jumper maintains 45 psi. but am still getting the error, so would it be safe to say that I should go ahead and replace the fuel pump relay. Oh and because I did do the mass air conversion, I made sure that I have the pink/black wire going to pin 19.

Well, who knows I will try again tomorrow....
