Trouble Finding What Heads To Go With!

I am in the process of building a new motor for my car and am not sure what heads to go with! This is what I have come up with so far: AFR 225's, Dart Pro1 225's, or a set of Trick Flow (not sure with would be best from them). I am using a Trick Flow Box R intake system. Any help on what ones to go with would be great help!!! Josh

Are you not stroking your 351w? If not then i think those heads a way over kill. Just because they flow the most doesn't mean they are the best for your combo. In fact i bet streetability would be seriously lacking.

Yes I am stroking it out to a 427! I am installing a ProCharger D3-C with custom pluming and front mount intercooler. I will be running about 18 pounds of boost on the street and around 32 at the track!

Out of the heads you listed, the AFR 225cc heads would probably be the best out of the box. Some ported TFS high ports would probably be nice, too, but I'm willing to bet you'd be spending quite a bit on them with the initial purchase plus porting. There's a lot of guys running NMRA, etc with the old school, original high ports, so they've definitely proven they're winners. I couldn't even find anything on Dart's website about their 225cc heads?

The 225's get my vote but I'm a little partial to them since I use a set myself. The DART Por1 or a Properly ported HighPort would be excellent choices as well.

I am going to be running the brodix track 1 225cc heads. I dont know of anyone running these, but i got them cheap brand new on ebay. I should be ready to go in a few weeks, and if you'd like i will let you know how they turn out as there isnt much feedback on how these heads perform. I have about the same setup as you (427), only i will be adding a turbo somewhere down the road instead of a blower (hopefully).

Thanks for all the help guys! I am think that I might go with the AFR's but I would still like any feedback on some of the other head chocies if any has any! Thanks again!
