Trunk Carpet Question?

I did a search and couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. Im redoing
my Trunk and added some sheet metal over the Fuel tank for added protection. My Question is I want to cut and install some carpet. What
do I use to hold the carpet in place on the metal surfaces in the trunk?
Is there a special Glue or something?

Very simple answer. use one of the following 3M products, either 8080 adhesive or 8090 adhesive. these come in spray cans. the 8090 can even be used for vinyl roofs if need. the best place to find then is at any automotive paint supply house. these two are the best, however you can find similar spray contact adhesives at PepBoys etc.

you can also buy a cheap paint sprayer and buy contact cement(works better then spray adhesives)I use both, but the contact cement holds heavier fabrics better
