Trying to spin to 7000-7200rpm, witch lifters will work?

Ok heres my motor combo,
Stock 5.0 short block
Pro Topline 215cc heads
Victor 5.0 intake
F303 cam (mite change)
75mm TB
42lb injectors

Rite now i have ported E7's on with a mildly ported stock lower intake with F303 cam, the motor pulls hard to 5500-5700rpm then will Mildly(little faster then slow) pull to 6000-to redline....

When i put then new combo together, i want to pull hard to 6500rpm-6600rpm, i was woundering will the stock lifters hold up to 7000rpm and not see to much pumpup??? are there other lifters made for high rpm(hydro, roller).

Soon ill build a dart block , forged internarls , and supercharger ..... mabey in a year or 2 when i get money from my grandmas house...
 
Stock lifters can't do what you want. If you are building a motor to turn those kinds of RPM's you should be looking at a solid roller lifter roller cam. Possibly a custom grind.
 
The Sportsman blocks are not worth the cash, they tend to let go around 450hp.

The STOCK LIFTERS WILL go that high, but you are going to need the valvetrain to go with it, springs, etc... and you are going to need a cam better then the F303. Use a good high PRESSURE oil pump to help keep the lifters pumped up, you could also use a restricted pushrod.

As already stated you will need a tuner or a chip to bypass the factory fuel limiter of 6250rpm.

Pure Street combos require a stock lifter, they are NA cars turning 8000rpm, sounds like your type of combo;) If you need any info or help let me know.

I agree the stock rod bolts are the weak link in the bottom end....

Are you doing anything to the internals or are you going to use the stock bottom end you currently have?
 
Yes , i know i need too get a chip or eec tuner. also i will be will put a girdle in, and already have arp rod bolts waiting to go in...
Ok so hydro roller lifters will work, so i need a cam too pull higher, and a high presser oil pump...
cus i dont really want to run a solid set up.
 
may i ask what your going to achieve by spinning the motor that high? a supercharged 500rwhp car shifted at 6000 rpms is more then enough, most BIG # street combos arent spun anywhere near 7000 rpms to reach there max hp.

and you dont need a girdle in a dart block, thats just silly :shrug: ...but u will need a new oil pan if you "plan" on getting the Iron Eagle Dart block.
 
I'm with others - the F cam won't support the rpm level, and most supercharger set ups are designed to be all done by 6000-6500 rpm. Sounds like to me you need to do some more soul searching on what it is you really want to build here.
 
I've been running the same Stock hydro-rollers in my combo for 4 years now. I shift at 7,600 rpms and the engine sees 7800 rpms pretty frequently with a stock block and a standard volume Federal Mogul oil pump. The thing is completely trouble-free. I do keep fresh valve springs in it once a year. Alot depends on the camshaft lobe design. Overly aggressive ramps on the cam design will need a more aggressive than stock oil pump. For 7000-7200 rpms it probably won't be necessary even with aggressive ramps. I used to run a Comp Cams XE cam that had some really aggressive ramps and even it went to 7,000 without any lifter problems. Once again, with a stock oil pump.
 
Eric, I forgot you had a standard oil pump, but I know your cam is a different mind set the then one I was thinking off ;) It all depends who is designing the high reving cam....

Guys, it appears to me the supercharger was down the road and depending what blower he goes with 7000rpm really isn't bad, there are a lot of blowers that like rpm and need it to make power. It all depends on the combo. I also took it the girdle was for this CURRENT stock block combo.

A Standard 7qt Canton pan clears all the 4 bolt caps on a DART block, no special pan needed.
