TSB for tip-in-ping

Does anyone know if there is a TSB, for a tip-in-ping, or for that matter any way of fixing it.

I have been working with a tuner, and he seems to be getting frustrated with the problem. The tunes, even though more aggressive than stock, are better than stock on the tip-in-ping.

So I would like to take the car to Ford, and try to have it looked at again. The first time they did not want to fix it. Yes, that is right, did not want ot fix it. I am going to give that dealer another try, and if not another one.

Is there anyway of fixing this my self, I have tried a new MAF, and bypassing the PCV system. A heat range cooler plugs.

I have it too with a Mac Straight Shot system. Just a second worth of pinging when you stab the throttle is what I get. Retarding the timing a degree or two may help more than anything because if the knock sensor picks up the pinging the computer will pull alot of timing ou to stop it, therefore you lose power when that happens. Other than that I dont know what to do except use 93. Mine got a little better when I swithched from 89 to 93.

My ford dealer said that it would be ok because the computer is taking a split second to catch up when you floor it when you are forcing alot more air into the motor than the stock tube. I think a colder plug would not be the right thing to do.

BTW what is TSB?
