I have a 1999 Saleen S281 (non-SC) I am going to put a Vortech T T-trim tuner kit on it. Will I have a issue with a custom dyno tune with a saleen flashed computer?

i didn't know saleen ever flashed the computers on the NA models.
Even still, a tuner will probably just remove the saleen program and replace it with its own.

U sure about a t trim? Is this a built engine?

I think that saleen retunes the computer, Because on the gauges it sayes use premium fuel only. So I think that they must do something with the timing. I have a stock motor for now. I have BBK long tubes and and off road X-pipe with a Accufab upper intake and 75mm throttle body. I also have 42lb injectors and 03 cobra Tank and pumps for the blower. Do you think that i will have a problem with the t trim with the stock motor? I am also running a intercooler. I just did not want to have to get a new head unit in a couple of years when i have my motor bulit. Thanks for the help!

Just don't go over 375rwhp and you should be fine. Well probably even 375rwhp is pushing it. 350rwhp to be safe.. You would be better off with a S-trim because the power comes on lower in the rpms, but not by much...

Size the supercharger for the engine you have now, not later.
S trim would probably be a better choice at the moment.
Not sure how it is with vortech now, but it used to be if you got a Heavy Duty S trim, it was upgradeable to a T trim in the future. I'd look into that.

Thanks for the advice i will look into the S trim. How about the novi 2000 do you think that it is to much blower for a stock motor? I was hoping to get about 400rwhp do you think that would be to much for a stock bottom end? I saw some guys running over 400rwhp with a stock bottom end.

I think 400rwhp is the limit of what i would try and do.
If i'm not mistaken the novi2000 is the paxton equivalent to the S trim.
The S is probably capable with the intercooler setup of making 500rwhp.

See my sig. I'm running stock motor with S trim and all the regular bolt ons. I've had it on there for 2 yrs now, no probs. Just make sure its a safe tune and you'll be fine. I would also look into the S trim instead, the T trim might be overkill for it right now and will actually make less power from what ive heard since its not ideal for the stock motor. I've seen people with S trims hitting almost 600rwhp, (not on stock motors) so the S trim is quite capable of a lot of power too.

Also, the N/A models are flashed and you wont have any problems tuning it with the SCT software, it can overwrite the saleen flash with no problems. I have the XCAL 2 and it works great.

Ditto

I agree with the previous post...you won't have any problems, the SCT will work. I've had the S trim 9-10lb with intercooler for about a year now..you'll love it whichever way you go.

agree with the above post, they are all on cue. i've got a forged motor with a vortech sq trim(no intercooler) and it's making 502rwhp on 104 octane. on 93 octane it's got a very safe 460 rwhp tune. if nothing has changed vortech does have the t-trim upgrade for s-trim's, and it used to be for around $1000 you could have your's upgraded.
saleen flash will be taken care of with an sct tune, and sct is the way i'd go, i had ed clark to tune mine. longevity is all in the hands of a tuner for the MOST PART, get a safe tune and ride for awhile. mine has been going for over 3 years now.
