I feel like a douch asking this but what eggzactly does the tune up consist of?

Also what could be my issue as of recent every time I try starting the car it takes about 2 - 3 times to actually get it started. Any ideas?

Hmm on the tune-up. Usually, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, air filter, oil, oil filter, clean throttle body, clean 10-pins, check battery cables, brake fluid, p/s fluid, brake pads/shoes, wiper blades, wiper fluid, fuel filter, clean IAB, check/adjust TPS, antifreeze, tranny fluid, PCV and grommet, off the top of my head

On the not starting, could be fuel pump going out and not holding pressure in the line, bad tune, timing too far advanced has been known to make harder starts.

Cap, Rotor is the what now? (I feel like such a noob its ri-damn-diculous)
What you mean by 10 pins? like whats that eggzactly?

Cleaning the TB,pins,IAB and TPS (whats that?), PCV and grommet (another whats that) I would clean that all with brakes cleaner right?

Thanks for the diangose though

Sorry for all the noob Qs just still learning the whole shabang.
Thanks

Ah, no problem. Cap and rotor come together. They sit atop the distributor (front of the engine). They are what the eight wires that go to your spark plugs plug into. The cap is the outside and underneath it is the rotor.

The 10-pin connectors are round connectors about the size of a halfdollar that sit behind your intake by the firewall. If you open up the connections there are 10 pins in there, thus the name. These you want to clean w/ electric parts cleaner (from any autostore or electronics store) and put some di-electric grease on (from same places).

The Idle Air Bypass is the cylinder thing that sits at a 45 degree angle on the throttlebody (attached to intake). It's got one wire plugging into it and two bolts holding it in. I clean mine w/ brake cleaner.

Throttle position sensor is on top of the throttlebody. It's about the size of a quarter. It's black, has two screws in it. It takes a voltmeter to check, so if your car is idling good, leave it be. A search on here will give you a good procedure to test/check this.

The Positive Crankcase Ventilation and grommet are a pain to get to, but are behind the intake on the back of the block. The PCV vents gasses from your engine and puts them back into the incoming air to help with gas mileage and also keep your engine running with a slight vacuume in it to keep from popping gaskets out etc. The grommet is what the PCV sits in. Also if you change this, change the screen out below them.

None of these things are hard to do, searches on here will give you the steps in detail.
