like with the motor off take the hose off and open the throttle body and spray it in with a rag underneath the tb so catch any runoff. seafoam you keep the motor running and you unattach the hose from the pcv valve and put the hose directly in the bottle and crack the throttle open 3/4 to wot. it shoudl stall the motor out, or at least turn the motor off yourself immediately after it all goes in. let it sit for 20-30 minutes and turn the motor on and drive the crap out of your car. there should be, for lack of a better term, a wall of white smoke coming out your tailpipes. drive the car really hard and it will go away. the stuff works well for cleaning out any carbon in the intake. it works really well on crown vics, and is popular on crownvic.net, and since the stang has the same motor. their webpage is http://www.seafoamsales.com/
