I am about to purchase a JLT CAI and am considering a dyno tune instead of using a canned tune. I just moved to Baltimore so i am not real familiar with shops in the area. Any recommendations?

Thanks

Hey What's up? I live in Bel Air area there is a diablosport tuner in glen burnie Justins performance he's on thelma ave. He is excellent and will be able to help even if to tell you where you can go if he can't help you. Good luck and enjoy!

Yeah, I already called Justin for him. There are not many qualified people in the entire country to properly tune these cars. Justin said he could tweak the canned tune if any problems arise, but that's about it. I suggest installing the canned tune, do a half hour of data logging and email the info to the hand tuner company. They will review the performance data, tweak the tune and email it back to you.

Hey ny in md, I'm 20 minutes north of Bel Air. You may see me around.

Thanks for the help guys. I think i am just going to order the JLT/SCT combo from Bamachips. What is involved with the datalog...do i just hook up the handheld and drive around for 30 mins.

Thanks

DeMolet anyone?

If I may through in my $.02, think about the Tunable induction from DeMolet Air System. You can buy it from the part shopper that supports this forum and John is on here and will help you in anyway you need him to with the tune. Just needed to add that in there, good luck with your kit and I dare you to keep your foot off the floor when you get it installed! I couldn't. :SNSign:

I remember Demolet from when i had my 2000 GT. What kind of numbers does the TI produce? I know from past research the most people recommend either the C&L or the JLT.

I've never done the datalog thing. Call Diablosport and I think the manual says something about it.

Thanks for the help guys. I decided to order the Demolet JTI CAI direct and just us their performance tune from Ryan at SCT until i can find someone near by to dyno tune it for me.

I do want to get the car dynoed after i install the CAI and recommendations on where to go for 3 pulls.

Thanks

hi guys i may be a month old and a day later to add to this post hehe

i live in baltimore area and i found a spot in timonium (sorry about the spelling) area that does dynos they work on evo's mostly but they are cool guys a just love cars (agility performance)

i use to go out to eip for a dyno but these guys are closer to my house

as far as tuners i heard (eld performance) are good and in the area of serverna park and of course justin in glen burnie

think i will be checking him out in the next few weeks to see what they can do for me there

hey and if you ever see a wingless black gt with the pony on the back window and 315 tires in the rear around baltimore its me :)

I live in Arnold (near Annapolis). Currently I go to JPC in Glen Burnie. I've gone to ELD before, and they're alright, but don't speciailize in any type of car. You could also check out Horsepower by Hermann in Crofton. I've heard really good things about them as well, but JPC is closer to my house/work (BWI).

I have a JLT true cold air that a friend and I put in, in about two hours. You can definitely feel the extra umph. Let me know how you like your tune when you get it!

Any luck with the tuners? I'm running pretty rich and need it to be dyno tuned.

I just got some stuff installed at JPC, unfortunately not all of it (I got sent wrong parts by a .com), but they were having their dyno installed while I was there...said it should be up and running in a week or so. As soon as I get all my parts installed I'll be doing a dyno tune there.
