I am getting ready to order a new tuner. The last tuner I bought (04 pred) came with one canned tune. I was looking at american muscle's sct's. What is the differnce between the livewire and the SF3? Is tge differnce worth the extra cash? Here is what my setup will be this summer, 00 gt, 4.10, manual trans, borla S, offroad prochamber, K&N cold air kit, ZEX kit 100 shot. Considering picking up a throttle body and plenum just not sure yet. I like the choice of the three tunes so I can run a nitrous tune, N/A track tune, and a street tune. Any advise?

Go with the SF3. The livewire has some "toys and flashing lights" but it is no where near worth it. The screen is small, you cant read it, if something dorks up on it, you have to send it back to SCT for 2-3 weeks then they send it back. It has some neat features, but all the HP, TQ, 1/4, and 0-60 times are all off...way off. Save your money and put it towards the TB and plenum.

That's disappointing to hear, I was planning on getting the LiveWire soon before my last Mustang was wrecked and still planning on getting it once I got my new one caught up to where my old one was. I was pretty excited about all those cool features, but if they're way off then I guess they're pointless.

My wife got me a G Tech Pro SS a few years ago, and it was fun to play with, but it was way off too. I had it first, and it had some cool toys, and sure, I did the 1/4 and 0-60 every chance I got. With 250 rwhp, it would tell me I had over 400. My 1/4 mile times were 10-11 seconds.....I wish. It was stolen out of my car one day in my driveway while I had the windows down (middle of the day). I had a chance to get the livewire not too long afterwards....and I wish I would have spent my money on something else. Sure, you can program it to show you shift lights......I have a tach. It will tell you your speed, I have a speedo. I tried out the same features, and at ~450 rwhp....one day it would tell me I had 300 rwhp, the next it would be 600+.

The SF3 will do all the functional things that the livewire, or even the TSX will do.....but it doesnt have the toys.

If I wanted an in-car performance monitor...I would get another GTech.
