After the installation of my turbo and the numerous other mods that will be coming, I'm beginning to look towards a means of tuning. Right now I'm considering the Tweecer R/T, the Anderson PMS, and the AEM EMS. i'm using a draw through meter and want to switch to a blow-through so that price is taken into account. Also I'm currently an AODE and have a tremec lined up so would need a new computer.
Price wise it works out like this
1.) Tweecer R/T $550
Greddy Profec B $340
Pro-M universal $300
5-speed comp $100 (estimate)
sell my mass air -$200
total $1090

2.) Anderson PMS $875
GM 3 bar map sensor $85
Greddy Profec B $340
Pro-M universal $300
5-speed comp $100 estimate
my mass air -$200
total $1500

3.) AEM EMS $1468
GM 3 bar $ 85
sell my mass air $-200
total $1353

So to me it seems the AEM is the way to go. But I'm not sure a stand alone is for me since I have never tuned a car before and I hear it takes awhile to setup. Any inputs?

You may not have to sell your stock computer with the Tweecer, you may be able to write over the auto processor with another processors file, like one for a 94-95 5spd. I may be wrong but I think you can.

Also you should invest in a WB o2 (not one of the autometer ones) as your tuning and boosting at the same time.

WB O2 is something I will also be getting but doesn't change any of the pricing.

Yes you would not need the manual pcm with the Tweecer. You could change all values that pertain to the trans in your pcm or the eaiser way would be to just upload a t4m0 or j4j1 cal file to your pcm.

The down side to this would be if you wanted to run your car without the Tweecer you would default back to your original auto trans pcm.

To learn about self tuning with a power adder combo will most likely be more of a challange than a na combo.

A wb is pretty much a must when tuning with forced induction.

Good Luck to you
