Hey guys i was just wanting a couple opinions please! Im looking to tune my car i have all the mods you see below and didnt really know how to go about doin it. I was thinkin dyno-tune or should i just get a handheld, or maybe a chip? IDK what do yall think the best thing would be to do?? Thanks I appreciate it.

` I would suggest getting it dyno tuned if you can. The tuner can measure the air to fuel ratio to see where it's running at while on the dyno. Adjustments can be made to it and when you leave you'll know where it is. There 's nothing wrong with ordering a tuner from a well respected company. You may have to data log it and send the file back to the tuner for tweeking. They will email you "corrected" files to be loaded onto the hand held device. It's a little bit of work but it's worth it. Pearl02.

you don't have enough mods to justify a dyno tune, especially if you plan on doing more mods in the future. if you are going to continue to mod, buy a complete tuning package like SCT's Pro Racer Package or the one from Sniper and tune the car whenever you want for whatever mods you get.

While that may be true, I didn't have to many mods when I decided to have my car dyno tuned. I still netted 13hp and 17tq with the tune. Also, it's pretty scary to see just how "lean" these cars are from the factory. Like you said, he could still wait until he get more mods before having it tuned. It all depends on what you want to do. Pearl02.

Thanks guys for the info, about how much will a dyno tune cost? and would i need anything or would they do it all, say like a handheld tunner?

You should first decide which tuner you want. There are several out there. I have a xcalibrator2. The speed shop I went to charged me 375 for the dyno tune and that included the hand held tuner. You won't need anything but your wallet. Good luck. Pearl02.

so you got the tuner and the dyno time for 375? Is that right or did you just mess up, cause arent the tuners themselves a little more than that?

I think he will make that b/f the tune. W/ a tune you should pick up about 7-9rwhp

n/m its an auto, Maybe 230-235 after the tune.
