tuning questions!!!

i have a 2004 mustang gt underdrive pulleys, cold air, x pipe, and pro 5.0. my question is should i have a shop tune it or buy a tuner such as BAMA? what i want to know what would be best and what would give me better results thanks .

I would just get a sct tunner and have them make you a custom tune from BAMA. That's what I'm going to do.

I wouldn't take it to a shop unless you add a shot, boost, or open up the motor and add performance parts.

Dyno tuning is overkill on a car like that. Besides, with a dyno tune it is a one-time tune and costs just as much as an SCT. The SCT offers free tunes for life.

I've had my SCT for just over 6 months and I've had BAMA write me at least 16 tunes already......all for free.

When I had mine dyno tuned I needed a handheld to store my tune and write to the ECU.

Don't bother, advance your timing with 30 minutes of labor and a simple timing adjuster.

I'm old school, but I've never been a fan of mail order or updated stuff. Each car is slightly different. Once you start adding heads/cams and a power adder or have an auto take it in for a dyno tune.
