my buddy has a 03 corvette and he's got this tuning software from HP TUNING and its sick. ive been looking around for something like that for my 2001 GT and cant find anything. im looking for some software to tune my car like a dyno tune would do because i like doing everything myself. i dont want the normal hand held tuners, i want to use my laptop and tune it all in my driveway or out on the road.

i believe the SCT Pro-Racer software is what you are looking for.

i use DSMlink for my 97 GST and my 91 GSX. i too am not a fan of the piddly-**** handhelds.

i have the SCT Pro Racer Package. i can tune anything in the PCM except mileage for obvious reasons. SCT is the current standard in Ford tuning right now. Sniper is pretty much the new guy in town. they are cheaper than SCT but hopefully that doesn't equate to an inferior product. i'd like to use it to compare and contrast with SCT. at any rate, if you have any questions about the SCT PRP, feel free to PM me.

If I buy this software , how or where do I go to lean to use it so I don't blow my engine ? I will love to learn how to tune my own car

depends on whether you want an Xcal or a Livewire. prices start at $850. sounds like a lot, but just think how much money you'll save if you were to have your car dyno tuned multiple times. unless you have a heavily moddified N/A or any forced induction car, i wouldn't recommend it tho.
