Turbos are both mounted, almost ready to fire it up

How much is this all costing you??
Where did you locate the turbo's? Are they from old manual Super Coupes?
How much fabrication is involved?
Do you have to remove each header to change spark plugs, or is there some way you can get in there and remove them?
Did you have to cut out a lot of inner fenders to mount the turbos?

Now here are some more big questions...
I already have the short tube headers, if I became friends with an exhaust shop, could I pay them (only a little bit of money of course) to bend the several feet of exhaust for me to do your same set up?

How are you going to manage your boost, what unit are you using?
Are you going to run an intercooler, if so where are you getting it from and how much does it cost?

Finally, is the Tweecer a better product for the money than say the new PMS unit?

I know that these questions may be a PITA to answer, but you have gotten me so curious....
PS. what are you running for compression ratio and timing?
Thanks Buddy I know that a lot of other stangers here have similar questions
I cant wait to see your power numbers and track times!

1.) I'm guessing its going to cost me around $1500 total for everything needed
2.) found my turbos used off of www.turbomustangs.com and www.turboford.org Ones off of an SVO, others off of a Turbo Coupe (both .60/.63 a/r)
3.) For fabrication... The only thing me and my dad did not touch was the passenger side header, everything else we did. Got some U bends from jegs for the headers, and everything else.
4.) I'll more than likely have to remove the pass side fender to change plugs :( Drivers side went in easily.
5.) You can see in this pic how much I had to cut out of the fender, pass side is the same way

Depends on how good of friends you become :) I'm not sure about the actual price, but you'd want to get the headers on there and ready to go before you take it to the shop... I had to do quite a bit of work to my drivers side header before it would fit...

I have actuators set to open up my wastegates at 10psi

I'm running two 1G DSM intercoolers. They are going to be placed one behind each foglight hole, then Y'ed into a 3" pipe in the pass side fender then onto the TB. Bought each for $50 shipped.

I have no clue... I'm just going with the tweecer because more people on here have it.

I'm a member at FS but just usually lurk around the forums. I'll be taking it to OSW once its tuned to get some new times :nice: I'll post on FS too that I'll be heading out there.

Seth, its yours for $3000 :D

Geez, I wouldnt make something as simple as the plugs that hard to change on a daily driver...better not foul them up while tuning. Just curious do you think it would be possible to get the make em yourself header kits from jegs or summit and make them so theres more clerance around the turbo. Personally I would do that if possible or just get a set of custom headers made that allow the clerance I need to change the plugs. But I guess if your on a budget, your on a budget. Other than that it looks sweet. I wonder how much hp you will loose by just boosting to the atmosphere. hey you can dyno the car like that and figure out your parasitic losses...just an idea. Thats if you had previous dyno numbers of course. :D

under one thread Pete, under one thread :)

Started the car up for the first time in almost two weeks today! I havent been able to drive it yet because because I still need to get a short belt for it. I dont have the downpipes on yet so its just dumpes right there after the wastegate... But its actually a little bit quieter than when I had my tailpipes off  but it sure does smell horrible :rlaugh: Tomorrow I'll be able to take it out for a spin and see first hand what the turbos sound like spooling up

another update

I got all of the hotside piping done, downpipes are tucked right under my headers and it looks nice. I planned on doing all of the cold side piping today/tomorrow but when I looked at the pass. side turbo I found oil dripping out of the compressor housing :bang: guess thats what I get for buying a 15 y/o turbo. So now I have to get that fixed before I do anything else beause I dont want oil pooling up in my intercooler.

Took it to the car show for the first time since the turbos were on and let me tell you want... people had to take a 2nd look just to make sure what they were seeing was right  I think most people didnt even see the filter sticking right off the TB that I have on there until the rest is done. But then their attention was quickly taken away because Mikes car was right next to mine. Hope I can get this done soon because its been a little over a month since I started this project. Only think I need is a Y pipe and maybe some 2.25" pipes for the cold side. After that I'll be boostin my way to a 11 sec E/T, blown headgasket, blown rearend/axels, or a blown tranny

I can't offer any type of advice. Turbos leave me like ...

Congrats on getting it running though. That is the tough part.

Oh, your car probably looks fine. Remember, Mike isn't human, he doesn't count. :D
