Turn over problems

When I turn my key off my motor wants to turn over again when it should just stop. Also The RRPMs dont want to drop when I change gears and let my foot off the clutch Thanks for the help

More info is needed to help solve your problem. The best place to put you car & mods is in your sig. What year stang, carb'd or EFI, what mods to the engine.

91 coupe, bbk short headers, bbk x pipe, cobra intake, no smog pump, cobra clutch. bbk short shifter. Please help. It also sounds like it is back fireing when it is first driven and very sluggish in power. It does that a coulpe of times and then runs good untill I drive in traffic for a bitt and everything goes bad and i start having those problems

welcome to the boards (there are a lot of new guys in here the last day or so).

are you saying that the car is dieseling when shut off? i have not known of injected cars to do that....weird.

first thing that comes to mind is that the timing is off. that is my wild guess off the cuff.
have you pulled codes?
