i can't seem to make my turn signals work. all fuses, bulbs, and grounds are good. when i turn on the lights, both turnsignals light up, but don't flash. without the lights the right turn signal comes on, but won't flash. any suggestions

i just fixed mine. my turn signals would not work unless i giggled the key into a "special" spot. also my a/c blower motor did not work.

solution: the ignition contact switch

i got a new one from ford...$8 part!!!

here is a link to pics of the piece that was broke on my car:

Id start with the flasher first, like 91 said. Always better to start with the easy stuff.

It could also be behind the center part of the dash (behind stereo etc.) as well. Ford kinda threw them all over the place in these cars. Good luck with it.

Don't even get me started on the turn signals not working. Jesus.

Check the blinker knob assembly itself, the blinker relay, the hazard relay, the hazard switch assembly, and if none of that fixes is, just be like me and use your hands

The flasher is NOT behine the glovebox or behind the stereo in 88.
Remove the small panel directly under the steering column. After the panel is removed look to the left about an inch or two in. The flasher is right there.

correct, remove like he said, takes a minute. mine was fastened to something so it wouldent move. cant remember what it looked like, but it should stand out. i would go buy one, they cant be more then 10 dollars. then look for the old one, or just go ahead and look for it... borrow a friends to see if it is the problem.

The stock one dosent really look like the aftermarket one. The stock one is round and light green. New ones are usually Silver. Paid $2.29 for it.
