The turn signals in my 66 just went out a week ago and i can not figure out what the problem is. I checked all the fuses, and the lights. What else can be the problem. I checked the books about it, and no trouble shooting has helped. The signals just went out without any warning, no slow blink, no one side blinking not the other, inside and outside don't blink, I cannot figure out what it is. I know that someone will know right away what it is, but I have no clue.

Thanks

Ben

Try replacing this first:
View attachment 322575

Its right under dash near steering column.
Then start checking ground connections (trunk ones are easily accessable)

Good luck, I have similar problems.

Check the voltage comming out of the turn signal switch in the steering column. If you get voltage there, then it provably is the blinker.

I forgot to say that i did replace that. I still need to check the connection there. If the connection is dead what else can it be?

Double check the fuse box again with the ignition on. Run a test light both sides of the fuse. All should light up. Trace the wires with a wiring diagram. Has anything else gone out or have been unplugged? Check all of your connections at the lights. Do your hazards work? Even though these are compltely seperate it might help to look.
