Turning MAF....

I heard that if you turn the MAF meter (instead of facing the engine, twards the fender) ...that it will free up some HP? Is this true? If so I want to test it out on my buddies car, that is as long as nothing can get messed up!

As far as I know it was only for people with Cold air intakes that the air filter was in the fender well. Supposedly it put the sensor more in line with the incoming air as it went through the elbow of the cold air pipe. My buddy and I did it to his 98 GT, and it made absolutely no difference at all. I wouldnt waste my time with it if I were you.
