Turtle Wax Black Box Kit

I was wondering about that stuff. You liked it? My girlfriend's dad swears by it for his black F150. I have a black '12 GT on the way and I was wondering what to start using to keep it up. Never owned a black car before.

i wasnt sure about it either. i had a dime size scuff on the front bumper from im guessing a rock on the freeway...cant even see it anymore. definitely worth the $17 bucks i spent at walmart.

I used the black box on my 2012 GT also, and it does a fantastic job. However, it takes a long time and alot of effort to apply, and you can't do it outside in the sun or the prewax and wax are difficult to rub off. For show quality I use the black box, but for a regular wash/wax job, I use a spray wax/cleaner that does a pretty good job on its own. Owning a black car and keeping it looking good is a bitch, but nothing looks as sexy as a black mustang after a real good detail/wash/wax.

Im just running Eibach Sportline springs in the pic, thats it. I have an adjustable panhard in the mail, and will slowly be adding to the suspension.

The black box is the bomb, and about the only thing worth a dang from TW. The pre-wax stuff is what fills in the swirls and whatnot. yes, it takes some time, it's like waxing it 2 times really, but it's well worth it for show quality. Here's my last Mustang, and '03 GT vert. The pics should sell the Black Box themselves.

I just bought some of this the other day and wow!I could tell an immediate difference just after using the prewax/cleaner.
I have heard that there are issues with durability but i have a friend that says he has used it on his older stang for over a year and has had no issues.I love the fact the it doesn't leave white residue all over the plastic and in the cracks.
I spent $65 on a can of wax and this stuff to me,is so much more shiny. and easier to apply.
I had no problems removing prewax or wax.I did go through a lot of microfiber towels and used a whole bottle of detail spray when i took off the wax.
I kind of like the smell too!

Random question then for you guys on the wax....I'm new to the dark cars and wow not impressed with how they show everything, with that I don't know if any of you seen the new lava red in person, but the car appears almost black until the sun hits it then the red metallic comes out to give it a black cherry color. With that, for minor scuff marks etc....any type of wax recommended? Is this black box was for black only, from your post that's what I'm assuming....

Thats because its made to enhance Black cars only. But I'd like to see
a pic of the result.......

Yeah, lava red isn't "really black". What you see that looks blue is the red shining through the new layer of black wax you just put on your car.

so is there a type of wax you can used that is designed for darker cars (have a couple light scratches from a neighborhood cat that Imma frecking kill if it's owner doesn't lock it up)

In person it doesnt lol, i think it is just the camera. I would use it again.
