Is a adjustable fuel pressure regulator needed if you have a tweecer? This will be for a turbo mustang with 255 hp fuel pump, 42lb injectors, with calibrated maf.
Can you do whatever is needed with tweecer, or is a fpr still needed?
I asked this a while back and the answer seemed to be that the stock regulator should be ok, as long as you don't have issues with the pump over loading the regulator.
It is rumored that the stock regulator can have trouble with the larger pumps.
I switched back to the stock regulator, and didn't seem to have any troubles.
All of the fuel adjustments made in the EEC assume stock fuel pressure (38-40 psi depending on who you ask).
I am not a boost guy as far as my combo but doesnt' the boost hook up to the reg. and raise the fp anyway on those combos?
I know most dry n2o kits also hook up to the reg. with a T and raise the FP but since they are at WOT it shouldnt sque the data too much as far as adaptive and logs.
