alright guys i have a 96gt. i am doing a ton of mods right now including a intercooler, bigger throttle body, long tubes, h-pipe, tune, ect. i have stock intake right now and i want something better. i know bout the bullit intake and others as well. but i really dont want to spend that much. i only want to make 500 hp. no more! so, what i really want to know is the typhoon intake any good. i see i can port and polish myself if i want, and it seems alright. what do you guys think? also if i get it on the npi cars there are 2 coolant sensors and pi cars only have one. what are u npi guys doing with the other sensor since the intakes only have one port on them for the pi cars? thank you for any input.:SNSign:

Latest word on TrickFlow is June. Also, per the current design (which may be a total tear-up) you'd have to mount your alternator backwards. Not good.
And for $600 for the lower and $200 for the upper, I think you'd be far better of going with a Bullitt kit. I just sold one for $925 shipped, and it was complete....alternator, fuel rails, the whole kit and kaboodle.

Anyhow, the Typhoon is known to have sealing issues. The "pan" flange on the underside only uses 6 bolts, which is totally inadequate for a flange of that size.

The Hardball'r looks like a better option (than the Typhoon), but it needs some massaging also. The runner bellmouths should really be smoothed out to as generous of a radius that can be achieved, especially with FI combos. Other than that, my initial impression of it is that is a decent replacement for the stocker if you're planning on NO2 or getting blown. But do the refinements prior to installing it.

When did this info come out? I guess if it is true Ill be going with the P-51 that has always been my secod choice.

Not to be rude, but if you use the search feature, you should be able to find a few topics on the Typhoon intake.:nice:
It seems to be one of those subjects that is beat to death on questions when they have been answered on numerous occassions already, and wih proof too. ;)
But to sum it all up,don't waste your money. You stated you didn't want to spend lots, well not buying that intake is a start.
