My stock gears in my 86 just arent cutting it anymore. Time to slam in some 3.73's. I want some different axles too along with a complete rear end rebuild, all the bearings, bushings etc... I've priced the parts already, but whats the typical ballpark figure for a rear end rebuild? If its way up there, how hard is it too just rebuild your own rear end? Looks pretty straight fwd. Just wondering if there are any specials tools or techniques. Planning on Strange Engineering axles and gears along with there master 8.8 rebuild kit. And a new Posi unti from Eaton.
