If you have read any of my threads I have had trouble with a low trap speed....well I am very happy that I raised them up......and beat my best twice...with a somewhat weak 60' foot. I ran 4 times 3 different ways .....I am either hitting the rev limiter........or trans is slipping.....or a third un-explainable hestitation in shifting up......and saw a Top Fuel crash.....thank God the driver was not hurt........but here are the following runs with what I did..
1st Run......regular Chip setting.....left the car in drive and let it shift on it's own.....car hesitated between 2/3 gear then took off
1.976
5.668
1/8-8.741 @80.32
1000-11.391
13.625@101.07

2nd and third run I set the chip to advance timing and lock up convertor...both times I manually shifted and took it 6K on the stock tach..
2) best I've gotten..previous was 13.51?
1.910 60'
5.552
8.578@81.69 1/8
11.192 1000'
13.398@102.28

3rd
2.050 60'
5.729
8.741 @82.35 1/8
11.320 1000'
13.497 103.62

4th and final run......left the chip on advance timing and stall convertor lock up....let it shift itself.......this time no hesitation between shift...but a crappy 60' it was late and temps were cold...spun way too much....
2.152 60'
5.778
8.754@82.14 1/8
11.358 1000'
13.555@102.83

Cliff notes.....beat best ET....most important to me was that my traps are higher
and there may be a little left to possibly get the AODE to 12.99s.......so Grady will leave me alone...... got to find out what the hesitation was ....rev limiter, slipping trans, or another issue I'm not aware of.....lol

Oh I forgot to say.....I ran in full street trim.....only thing I removed from the car is the sub...and to put the stroller in....jack and spare left in car.....Tristan. who just turned 1 last week....absolutely enjoyed the racing...he loved the cars....we stayed back a little so the noise wouldn't be so bad..

Nice runs. U/Ds definately paid off at the track.

What rpms were you hitting?

I am heading to the track for a test n tune day. Gonna try shifting at 6100rpm and holding third across the line. Should be just under 6500rpm at the finish line.

I would shift at 5900/6K and then the auto would take a second to "ACCEPT" it...lol.....not sure ....I've heard the stock tach's are off....I ......Yes....the U/D's worked well......drove home at 11 pm lights on......didn't notice any probems with charging......
Good luck at the track....let me know how you fair.....

U/D picked me up about .3 in the 1/4 from a 14.6-.7 to a 14.3. I have preaty much always had a K&N and dont really equate them to better-ing 1/4's...I mainly see them as a one time purchase that is re-usable. I didnt really feel/see any improvement when I added mine. At the track the K&N and flowmaster catback were the only things not stock and I ran what the avg. times are (14.9-15.2) with them.

The big things for me track wise was. 14* from 15.2 to 14.9 (first time at the track ever), 3.73's from 14.9 to 14.7 or 14.6, and pullies from 14.6- 14.3. Then the bottle of course that I ran a 13.1 @ 107 on 90$ street tires. In the order of install.

I think with dumping the spare/jack and maybe trunk carpet along with the rear seat and some DR/track tires 12.99 would be possible.

nice pick up of about 2mph and almost .3

Thanks Travis and Greg......
I met Eric from Corral last year and he was running either a Mac or K/N using the stock rubber tubing and I had a Ebay CAI and the difference in holding heat was crazy...I could not touch mine for a few seconds ...I could hold the stock tubing on his car for as long as I wanted........he swears by it......I have been wanting to do it for awhile....MUCH BIGGER FILTER...rrrrggggggg......."TIM ALLEN laugh".....

Trav...I know your friend ran....DID YOU?

you should have seen my frineds fox will he launched off the trans break and it spun the slicks horrible at the line ....so it thought it wasnt prepped so he backed out of it and tried the other lane...when he pulled up to do his burnout he spun the tire on the rim so now he knows he needs to use screws to hold the tires on... after we took care of that problem he tried launching with the trans break again and spun terrible again but stayed with it and hit a 11.00 sec pass...so then he said screw it and went once more and decided to leave on the foot brake at like 2000 rpms to see if he could get a good launch ...lol he was looking at the clouds it was awesome and he ran a 10.60 at i think 127mph and he never touched his bottle he wanted to get a idea what she was going to do before he got anymore radical ....i hope he brings it to milan sometime your there to see this monster ...its 525c.i. and when he decides to use the bottle it will get a 250 shot of it soo all hell will break loose then lol

Good for you Will

I know you see a lot of peeps gripe about pulleys
but
The best thing about them is you get torque EVERYWHERE
or
ALL across the power band.

I really like them but since I got a combo that requires an elevated idle
which pumps out a bit more juice .....

I really don't notice any charging issues with them

Yeah...sounds like one wild ride.... what kind of block is he running with that type of HP and planning a shot like that......50 caliber proof.....The first race a blue SN.....tricked out dragster only.......tore me a new one...lifted the front end......smoked me.......and I couldn't see the end of the track and had to stop because when he let off at the finish line.......a white cloud poured out and that was it for him today................
