UGHHHH!

$460 in taxes....Damn that's alot of money for a 94 stang.:nonono: The state is always looking for free money. Mine would have only been $200 in taxes. I ended up getting a paper filled out by the buyer stating that it was a gift, so no taxes.
 
usually if its a private owner you can just have them state that its a gift. I think you have to put down $1 for a gift. How would they ever be able to prove that your "friend" didn't give you the car. I've known a couple of people that have done this without any problems.

Mass was like that. Now they require a form to be filled out by the seller stating that it was a gift. I have to get them from city hall. Lady at the registry said that too many people were claiming gifts for every car they get. With the new method, you can only claim I believe 3 per year.

yeah i was asking 5000 and everyone was like what kinda milage does it get and i was like 8 and they were like oh i want something that gets good gas milage...this was when it was like above 2.50 a gal around here and i got in a panic because the old lady was due in under a month so i just took whatever and that sucks!!!!
