So, My car is not running. It started with me installing a new fuel rail. I went to install a new fuel rail in 2002 gt and i put everything in and went to start the car and it made a loud clank clank clank noise and I shut if off. I saw fuel everywhere by the injectors so they werent set right. I then reset them and I put car in on position and the injectors didnt leak this time. Then i start car and it make this loud horrible noise again. So I shut it off I go to reset the injecotrs AGAIN. and i start car and this time it makes the same noise, but then it doesen hold idle it dies. SO any ideas?

I dunno, I would start with 2x checking all the connections, both fuel and electrical just to make sure. Some small wire harness not snapped in properly could make a big problem...

Yea, Ive been looking real hard, one thing I saw was on my tps a top screw was missing. I was thinking (what if that fell in the fuel injector hole?) But I dont know how long theres been a screw missing form there.

sometimes you will get knocking from a enigne after the injectors or intake have been off, it's not too common for this to happen but it will usually clear up running it at idle and then slowly increase RPM's sudden snaps of the throttle will make it worse if this is whats happening.

OR.....

you could have a tool or a bolt or somthing hitting something externally. or even worse you might have droped somthing down the injector holes and the clanging is that metal object flying aroudn the combustion chamber.

Yea, so I am scared to let the car run at idle. When I start it the car idles but i Hear this loud clack clack clack form engine and my car is idling really rough and i feel the shifter shaking really hard too. So iam scared to let it idle (possibly let it go away) Iam thinking I will take off the valvecover tommorow and look for a screw or something.

(My car has never had a bad problem like this, I have a v1 s trim supercharger installed last week and it ran great tune is great air fuel is great) All I did was replace the fuel rails with a new one cuz i stripped the shraeder valve on old fuel rail. So i didnt change ****.

well youre not gonna find anything in your VC if something did fall into the motor. stick one of those magnet rods down into the spark plug holes just for ****s and giggles, maybe you might get lucky and pick up a screw or something. though i doubt anything got in there.

run it and pinpoint the exact location where the noise is coming from. screwdriver to ear technique. if something IS in the CC, then its probably done as much damage as its gonna do already within the first few moments.

I would but use the magnet but nothin fell in the spark plug hole, if somethin did fall it would be in the fuel injector hole. Can i use a magnet there>?

Using a magnet through the spark plug hole goes straight down into the combustion chamber. If you dropped something into the intake manifold through the injector, thats where it would end up; in the combustion chamber. You also need to figure out your idle problem. Sounds like its misfiring really bad too, which you cant know for sure until you run it through a few drive cycles (out of the question right now) and wait for the CEL to come on.

I just dont get it, it was running cool with the blower. Then i replaced the fuel rail plugged everything in and the injectors leaked a bit and engine made really loud (clack clack clack noise) SO i shut it off and fit injectors better so there were no leaks but it still made the noise. (There is a sensor on the fuel rail on driver side, I used the new one on the fuel rail i bought, maybe I should use my origional sensor from there?) No check engine light came on either.
