guys i went to a car show the other day. when i got there i open up the hood and the engine compartment was super hot. my gt is always like this. the engine stays very hot for hours after shutting off the car. when i first open the hood i can hardly keep my hand on the hood pop rod to put it up. if i leave my hand on it i would be burned.

does this seem normal, is your guys engines running this hot?

No thanks, as much as I love the smell of burning skin, that's not happening.
Yeah, mine gets extremely hot too.Maybe you could get a carbon fiber prop rod so it wouldn't burn as bad. My car is black though, so sitting out in the sun, everything gets hot.I would rather grab the prop rod than sit on the leather with shorts after the stang has been in the sun though.
