while im doing my 5 lug swap/exhaust work, what else should I be considering putting under my car? Its an 89 notch, 5speed puttin down about 260hp. Im sticking to the stock springs, but adding the white kyb shocks. Im gonna fab up some sfc's while um under there too. Is there anything else I should really put on while im at it? nothing unnecasaily expensive too.

It would be a good time to remove the rear-end, paint it and throw some new bushings in if you haven't already. Particularly the upper control arm bushings that are attached to the rear-end.

Battle box reinforcements?

I shouldve metnioned that when converting to 5 lug im putting in a new acle so I should be ok for seals. What bushings should I look at when im workin?

what should I do for torque boxes? btw my dads a professional welder so any steel fabrication is no problem.


luvmy88....I will be changin my filter....but I was askin more about chassis mods than maintenance.

All of the bushings in the control arms, upper and lower. The upper control arm bushings that are located in the rear-end are a hassle to remove and replace sometimes. I would definately replace them, but dropping the rear-end is a piece of cake.

whats the best way to buy those bushings? A kit or individual? And what brand....motorsport or an aftermarket?

You definately want polyurethane. I believe you can buy the complete kit (Energy Suspension) for you car, but not sure how much it is. Autozone used to sell it, if not, Summit does.

Sub-Frame Connectors are always good.

its got the stock 5.0 ho cam. I was considering going with an e303, but Im holding off for a year or so until I have enough to do the whole valvetrain right.
