Has anyone ever put undercoating on their gas tank. I'm all set to put mine in and I was going to spray it with undercoating, top and bottom. I know it's glavenized and won't rust but is it a bad idea and why?

I used the 3M spray can stuff and it gives it a nice textured black look and would recommend it. It looks great and should keep it in good shape, remember even galvanized can rust!
I cleaned my new tank with POR 15 Metal Prep and then used the POR 15 silver over the entire thing. Sprayed a coat of Low gloss black, then a light coat of ruberized undercoating.
