I have some underdrive pulleys that I got for cheap and was woundering if they were worth a few horsepower and if anyone has had any problems with them. I think they are from upr. thanks for the input.
I had a set of Steeda pulleys installed and had oil leaks from the crank pulley...had to take it back to the shop a couple times before they got it right.
Did not notice a big difference in performance SOTP.
If they are the piggyback type or aluminum dont put them on.
The Steeda pullies are the best when installed right. Go to a mustang shop
where they have done it many times. You will notice a bit of power with no
bad effects.
I also had the steeda pullies before the supercharger. I didn't notice much sotp difference, but I did get a consistent 2mpg better on long highway trips.
I've had Steeda pulleys on my Stang for 3 years now. No problems with them. As far as noticeable hp, i'm not sure. I had a Steeda timing adjuster installed at the same time as the pulleys. I did notice a difference with those two mods installed together. I think in general pulleys are good for around 5-7rwhp.
